Google Health
gerotechnology, tech May 20th, 2008期待已久的Google Health終於問世, 但這只限於美國地區. 香港科技發達, 户户上網, 但講到e-Health方面仲係初起步階段.
上堂時我提出香港有迫切需要推行e-Health, 但老師問我, “香港咁細, 落樓下就可以睇醫生, e-Health有冇用?”
我覺得e-Health唔係淨係在乎於解決距離問題, 而係一個健康管理層面上既問題,好多人成日上網搵健康資訊, 呢D 人對自己既健康好著緊, 但偏偏就冇一個可靠既資訊平台. 再者, 好多時搵一個好既醫生時常都係好多父母既頭痛問題, 你睇下BabyKingdom既討論就會知, 點解我地真係好需要, 將D health information放上網.
再者, 如果我地成日轉醫生既話, D medical record 就會東一處西一處, 新一位醫生, 又要重新追溯你既medical history, 浪費資源, 而且錯失對症下藥既重要資料. 如果所有醫生 都向一個platform度access度病人既history, 咁我地睇醫生次數可能會減少.
而且, e-Health讓病人都有控制權, 對自己既健康負責任, 唔係下下頭暈身熱就去睇醫生, 自己食緊咩藥落肚又唔知…..
好多人都話e-Health最大問題係security issue, 我相信呢個係一個非常麻煩既問題, 但唔係一個窒礙推動e-Health既進度既藉口, Google今次相信係一個劃時代既invention, 我希望香港都可以考慮下引入多D新概念….

What an exciting news! I think the online platform can not only make the search for information easier, but also provide the possibilities for online support groups. Sometimes people are caught in the situations where they have no one around them to consult or they are unwilling to let people around them know their health problems. The online support groups can be a great resources.

I agree with you so much Lisa. Thats what people said Health 2.0… Not only the patients need the online support group, their caretakers also need to have some support too!!! I think many possibilities can just started there!

Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I’m done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It’s a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway.
